Dar al Athar al Islamiyyah (DAI) is a cultural organisation based around the private art collection owned by Sheikh Nasser Sabah al Ahmed al Sabah, founder of The al Sabah Collection and his wife, DAI director general and co-founder Sheikha Hussah Sabah al Salem al Sabah. Since its inception in 1983, DAI has grown from a single focus organisation created to manage the loan of the prestigious al Sabah Collection of art from the Islamic world to the State of Kuwait to become an internationally recognised cultural organisation

Kuwait’s only non-profit art center for modern & contemporary art. At CAP we aim to encourage and support emerging or established artists and any art lover by organizing art exhibitions as well as offering a public arts library, a studio space,workshops, lectures and film screenings.

Katara Art Center (KAC) is an independently run platform founded in 2012 by Tariq Al Jaidah,  dedicated to contemporary art and trans-disciplinary creative endeavors, projects, and practicesKAC acts as a hub for emerging cultural communities in response to the need for a critical grassroots and multidisciplinary framework in Doha that engages with socially relevant issues and events both contemporary and historical.

Katara was born out of a long held vision to position the State of Qatar as a cultural beacon a lighthouse of art, radiating in the Middle East through theatre, literature, music, visual art, conventions and exhibitions.

This village shall be a glimpse of the future of a world where people of different cultural backgrounds overcome their national boundaries and embrace common causes to promote a united humanity.

Katara is where the grace of the past meets the splendour of the future.

A not-for-profit institution that nurtures cultural production, offers local creative opportunities to develop their practice, and provides a platform for the exchange of ideas between artists and the general public.

Established on January 1st, 2012, the French Institute in Kuwait is the result of the consolidation of several existing entities: The Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy, The Voltaire Institute and the Francophone community in Kuwait. The establishment of the French Institute in Kuwait follows the launch of the French Institute all over the world and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the cultural relations between France and Kuwait initiated more than 40 years ago.
